Tea Stands for Tuesday 1/16/18

Trying to post from my phone.
I don't seem able to add a picture of my tea.
Nor can I add link to Elizabeth blog

This cowl is long so it can double up.  The pattern uses a slip stitch and was available free on the Purl Soho site.  It was really easy once I got going.  The yarn was soft and the whole project was enjoyable.

The top section in the above picture is the "wrong" side of the knitting, the lower section is the "right" side.  I like both sides and that's important to me when knitting a scarf.

  1. This is beautiful, Darla. It looks lacy. It will go with so many clothes, too. Lovely.

  3. I feel bad,Darla. I've been gone all day and just saw your post. Not sure anyone will notice, but I added your link, anyway. Again, so sorry.

Appearance is everything, and I believe the back is as important as the front of anything we make. This is lovely, dear.

  4. I like to check back on T Day for the later arrivals- and always glad I do:) Beautiful cowl! I don't knit and have made one by crocheting but it wasn't near as delicate or pretty looking as yours. Happy T day!

  6. That cowl is gorgeous. I like the double up idea to really keep you warm, and the way this winter is going, any extra you can wear is worth it. Happy T Day. Hugs-Erika

  10. Sorry to be so late getting around, Darla. We’ve had terrible & intermittant internet for a couple of days – often less than 1 megabyte download!

I agree with you about both sides of a scarf needing to look good. Your stitches are beautifully uniform!

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  12. That's nice. I was just thinking it is rare I see a white wool scarf. I can't imagine why that should be.
