Tea Stands for Tuesday - 1/23/18

Happy Tea Tuesday.  Hope everyone is keeping warm and dry.  I went walking yesterday morning.

The first thing I spotted going out the door was our lemon tree.  It is a Meyer lemon and as you can see it is doing well this year.  I need to pick lemons and make lemon bars.

My walk took me to Whole Foods to pick up a loaf of bread.  I like their bakery and early in the morning everything is fresh and warm.  In one aisle I spotted these tea cups.  Very Tea Tuesday.  At $15.49 each none of them came home with me.  Yes, nice graphics on the cups and boxes but... really?  So I'm drinking my coffee in my ordinary white cup this morning.

I'm off to visit the Altered Book Lover blog and find out what my friends there have been doing.  Click the link and you can join me.

  2. Lucky you and your lemons. I miss my friends and their lemon and avocado trees. CA is definitely the place to be in the winter.

These mugs are adorable, but at that price, I would not have wanted one, either. The cat was cute, but its ears were all wrong. Thanks for sharing your lovely lemon tree and those cute mugs with us for T this Tuesday. At that price, I'll share a drink (coffee) with you in your white mug, too.

  3. Fresh lemons, picked straight from growing on the tree, with a cup of tea sounds delicious.
Those mugs must have been gold plated somewhere to cost that much money. I wonder if anyone buys them.
    Happy T day wishes.

  6. I'm impressed with the lemon tree. I can't even imagine picking my own lemons. Delightful! Mugs can be ridiculously expensive, can't they! Happy T Tuesday :)

  7. Love those mugs! I may have to journey out tomorrow after I get to feeling better and buy one. The lemons I am using in my tea come from a friends lemon tree here where I live. I also have fresh oranges from a neighbor however that was before our freakish snow and colc weather here in the south!

  10. I picked some lemons just last week and made almost a quart of juice. Lemon bars sound like a very good idea, Darla.

Cute tea mugs. At that price, I'd be satisfied with just a (free) photo like you ;-)

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  12. Lemons in January. I am jealous. Here in New Hampshire we are icy, snowy, too cold...nothing to pick for sure. Hope you make some lemon bars and share with us at T for Tuesday. Hugs-Erika
